So I just got a killed deal on a brand new zip locker for my front dana 60. I also picked up the VIAIR constant duty OBA system to power the locker and for filling up tires.

I wish they made a zip locker for the 14 bolt but they don't, so I am running a grizzly locker in the rear for now. Supposedly a zip will be coming out for the 14 b in a month or two.

Any of you guys running the Yukon zip locker? Whats your compressor setup? Any advice on line routing? Any breakages yet? I have searched all over and have not seen anyone able to brake a zip locker yet, even on competition rigs.

Guess I am the only one running a zip locker? I ended up buying the viair constant duty on board air system for the locker and filling tires. Shall see how it works out.

But now watch this one.

That test with the ARB had more force then any dana 30 axle shaft could ever handle. I dont think I can believe the ARB test, especially after listening to how unprofessional they are in the video. I guess I shall be the test dummy. But if it brakes, there is a no fault warranty that coveres replacement + $2000 in collateral damage and install costs. Randys ring and pinion claims they would run the zip in their rigs over the ARB. IDK, hard to tell the truth untill we get some real world tests and more people are running them.

Zip is a great piece, I have seen several even a broken one but if you put it up against an arb in the real world, they hold up as good or better. I know some of the backstory on how the zip came about and lets just say arb was a bunch of douche bags and thats one of the reasons we have the zip

ya i figured you wouldnt put that much force in real world just thought id share the vid

Has anyone else heard of one braking? So far on this forum and the other 3 I am on there has only been one person saying they have seen one brake.

Do you happen to remember what the failure was or what caused it on the zip you seen brake? Not worried about it, seen ARBs, detroits and elockers brake so one broken locker doesn't scare me, just curious. I am also running their grizzly locker in the rear, seems to be pretty stout.
