Been working on my 73 Blazer for a couple of months and just scored a Dana 60 front, 14 Bolt rear complete from a Military Truck. Im HOPING its just mostly Bolt on. True? The driveshaft will need to be adapted to fit. Can I change out the u-joints or do I need a new driveshaft custom made? Any other concerns I need to address before I just dive into the install?

Backstory:
Bought the '73 Blazer a few months ago.
Removed the 3" Body Lift and installed the 1" ORD bodylift
Installed 4" Tuff Country Springs and shocks to get rid of the 2 1/2" rear blocks and questionable springs in front
installed a electric on-board air
working on Dash to give me a tach in place of the enormous fuel gage.
adding a second battery
bought new 35" tires

Front is bolt-on. Rear will need the spring perches moved. You can get a conversion joint 9search and you will find the PN)

Hopefully the tires you bought a of the 16 or larger wheel size, because 15's wont work. I scored the same axle set up out of an 87 military truck. I think the axles were 1200.00. They hav 4:56's and a detroit in the 14ff. I havent got them in yet im in the middle of a arb install in the 60.
Sound like youll have a baddbass truck when all is said and done.

napa P/N 447 for the conversion joint for the rear. I just picked one up the other day. Might have to call and order one because the NAPA here didn't have them in stock.

Yep, they are 15" tires. Just my luck that I would purchase a new set of tires and a few days later, find axles that might not work with them! Ok, they'll work, but the wheels are questionable. They are 12" wide wheels and they barely fit the stock setup. We'll see when I get everything mounted.

Great! So I can get a conversion joint for the driveshafts! Thanks

I forgot to mention... The axles came with two sets of Military H1 wheels and one set of tires 36x12.5x16.5. The tires are about 50% tread. The gentleman I purchased them for said that i'll probably need spacers to run the H1 wheels. The good thing is they are run flats and internal beadlock. Are the runflats good for off road?

yeah they just add weight, and why not use the extra security? you can recenter your h1 beadlocked wheels, its under technical rightups or something, you should cnosider reading.. i'd try and return, or sell off those rims and tires and get some 16" tires and run those hummer ones.
