about 15'' rims on d60f, to see about grinding and b.s. it says no aluminum wheels:crazy:...i have a line on some 44'' tsl's($400)...prolly 60% tread, but they are 15's and i wanted to run these rims

http://www.jegs.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/product_10001_10002_774495_-1

i called and they are 3.65 b.s....so i guess its a no go!

would the 16'' version of this wheel fit(4.03b.s.), would i still need to grind the calipers?

thoughts...should i still get the tires? think maybe i could find a trade for for some 39.5's or bigger, or run steel wheels until they wear out, then get the 16'' dc-1's and some 42's?

I am pretty sure they dont make an 8 lug 15" aluminum wheel.
The ones from your link are 6 lug, dont you need an 8 lug?
The 16" 8 lug wheels would fit a dana 60.

i dunno about aluminum wheels, but my 16" steel wheels fit over my dana 60 calipers with no grinding. I beleive the backspacing is 4.25" on the wheels.

yes, yall are right, no 15'' 8 lug and no 42'' 16's.....going to get the tires and some 15'' steel wheels....the tires new are @400, so 400 for all four can't beat it, i want to get rock rings w/ chevy emblem cutout, i've seen em on here, who makes em?

and any recomendations on steel [email protected]?

man i saw a pic of the rings i'm talking about and now i can't find em! let me see if i saved the pic and i'll put it on myspace and show ya what i want!

mudder i can't find your front diff cover anywhere either, even googled it, have they stopped making them?

I don't think rockcrusher is around anymore. But Solid axle is selling the exact cover but it says "solid" on it. Check the vendor section here

My wheels are 3.5" backspacing and that's probably the most backspacing you can run on a front 60 (with 15" wheels).

I think diy4x makes the rock rings you are talking about.

Not anymore, but there are a few used 15" 8 lug aluminum rims out there. Welds use to make a 2-piece rim and there are 8 lug 15" slot mags. The slots are rare but I've seen three or four sets. I don't know which company made the slot mag.

3-3.5 needs good grinding. just get 2.5 and bolt on and go. no grinding.

i did it one time and it sucked big time.

Now that you say it, I remember my brother saying something about them, but I just figured he was full of it. Most of the time he is.
Was it back in the early 90's they made some?

Yes, that is the time when Weld made the rims. Now a days, most people want steel rims so they can drag the rims across a rock.

ok yall have showed me the rims and the rings i want, but for 44's---15x8,10,or12?

still cant find that diff cover...is it called solid in vendor section?

edit: i meant to ask w/ those rockrings can you still get your hand in there around the 14bff/and d60f hubs?

hmmm...interco recomends a 12.....any1 runnin 44's on a 10'' wide rim? the 12 is almost twice the price! and i may go 38.5 bogger after the 44's wear out...doubt i'll ever find a deal like this 1 again....can't believe i'm getting this 1, its family and ussually he treats his friends to the good deals and don't tell me until deal is done, guess i picked on him to much when we were kids...he is however the 1 who put me on the k30 that i stripped for $850 and he wanted it himself even.... but he is going thru a divorce and paying a bloodsucker(lawyer)..goin after tires 2morrow! 2 hr drive/1 way
