I have been lurking for about a month. I have read over 1300 pages of The Garage forum in that time. I decided to be come a honest paying member tonight.

I had a 91 blazer that I had to trade back in 99. Life is better these days and the wife has OKed a 'new' truck. I am looking hard at 1980 or older Blazer.

I have learned alot read these forums. Now its time to pay a little back.

Matt

What fun would that be, then he would miss out on the hours of grueling work and never ending drainage of his bank account /forums/images/graemlins/rotfl.gif Welcome aboard, CK5 is a way of life /forums/images/graemlins/waytogo.gif

Not to mention the never ending search for the D60

Welcome!

It's nice to have you aboard Matt. I've learned so much about my Blazer from this site, unfortunately it took me a while to find CK5 and I built my rig according to the other trucks around here (all 1/2 ton with 33's to 35's). I wasted about $4,000 before seeing that what I was building wasn't what I wanted. Definitely search for something that already has a Dana 60 up front, or at least go 3/4 ton. I've broken too many 10 bolt rear ends with stock tires to even count. Good luck /forums/images/graemlins/waytogo.gif

Welcome to ck5, i say buy something stock cuz the best things in life are built not bought...just my 2 cents

[/ QUOTE ] There will be plenty of room to build it up even if it has good axles and a strong drivetrain. I just think it would save a lot of money and aggrivation to buy something with them already included. /forums/images/graemlins/screwy.gif
