I should really be asking this in the injection forum but Im kinda looking for a fast answer. I sent my stuff off to Josh at Voodoo Injection as per recommendation in numerous threads here regarding harnesses. Once I saw he merged factory harnesses with the LS harness I was kind of sold because Id never seen that before.

If you have used him I'm curious as to how his wait time and communication was. I never thought I would have any issues with him considering we had an immediate email conversation when I asked him for a quote but it seems that as soon as he got his hands on my harness he became less than enthusiastic with responding to phone calls or emails.

I really didnt want it to go this way but hes had my stuff for 20 days, told me upfront there was a 2 week lead time, ok no problem. So when we were nearing 2 weeks I try calling to have a discussion about some things I wanted added in, and to inform him I was converting to drive by cable. I leave a message, 2 days later still no answer. I call again, another message is left. Then I start to figure maybe hes an email only type of guy. So I shoot him and email. 3 days later and still no answer I finally try calling again and get an answer.

He apologizes and says he just read my email and was going to respond, that hes going to start my harness tomorrow, this was this past monday. I say ok great no big deal we just hit 2 weeks but it still seemed sketchy to me the guy wouldn't even answer me back. We have a short discussion about needing to possibly switch ECMs due to the IAC driver. Long story short he revamps my confidence and says hes going to send me an email so we can go through what I want and he'll let me know about the ECM.

Well that was monday, now its sunday. I sent him an email Friday night I think it was just fishing for a response. Sent him a message simply saying "How did you make out with the IAC driver situation". I never get an answer and now Im getting really fed up. He's about a week off from holding up my project.

Im not crazy for thinking its too much to expect some contact no? I mean obviously the guys not working on my harness yet 6 days after he said he would. For all he knows I could have told him I needed something totally bizarre... Its not like Im emailing him numerous times a day. I give the guy a freaking chance to get back to me...

I can give him a call. He has been insanely busy. I havent talked to him in a week. We usually talk every other day. No excuse but I will mention ya to him today
 
People are almost always ok with answers they don't want to hear as long as they are honest answers. If he would have said, hey man sorry I haven't even had time to work on your harness cause I have had so much other stuff going on! I think I can start on it next Monday. Then things would be different, but when you lie yourself into a corner, that's when you instantly lose credibility and look like a bad guy. So stomis, I would have the same mindset as you. Not saying he's a bad dude, but doing the things he did to you will make anyone feel like they can't trust the guy anymore.

Another 3 days. Another **** you buttoned phone call to voicemail after 2 rings. No reply to email, tried calling a second time and left him a message requesting a phone call that I haven't heard a word in a week.
 
Sent him a link to this thread. Hopefully he'll get in contact with you to sort things out

Yeah we'll see what happens. All I want is a friggin phone call saying "listen man Im super busy, Im sorry I cant start your harness until X"

Tried calling again an hour or so ago thinking maybe he just works on a different schedule. No answer. It seems pointless to email. The only contact I had was when he decided to pick up the phone the one random time.

I'll be super honest, this was not what I was expecting from someone referred off a site like this. If I posted this up on pirate there would be a damn feeding frenzy...

By the time I get this thing back I'll have the free time to have done the damn thing myself...

Josh please provide me with a real ETA for my harness. The lack of communication has been disappointing to say the least. I am aware that you are very busy I was already told that by Eric W. (aka Blazinzuk) via CK5.com. I'm not asking for special treatment here. You initially quoted me a 2 week wait until initiation of my harness being started, I had no problem with that. I sent you the harness at a much later date than the original inquiry and am well aware that your work load may have exploded between those two points. I'm not trying to contact you to break your balls about where my stuff is. I simply wanted to have a discussion with you in regards to some additional items I wanted added into my harness.

When I spoke with you on the phone last Monday Sept 29 we discussed my IAC driver issue. You told me you were going to check my ECM to see if it had drive by cable support and that you would let me know whether we could use my harness or make a swap for one that was drive by cable compatible that you had. You then told me you would be starting my harness the next day but never emailed me as you said you would in regards to the IAC determination and the additional items I vaguely discussed with you. I very patiently awaited an email from you as to not be a pain in your ass, Im well aware you have other customers. I waited until Wed Oct 1st before sending you an email asking about how you made out checking the IAC. I received no response.

At this point Ive become somewhat irate with the situation simply out of the fact that you dont have the courtesy to at least tell me you're delayed. Ive attempted to call you a few times, the messages left on the machine seem to be useless, they're never responded to. You were recommended to me by a stand up group of guys that I really trust. Their enthusiasm for your quality work seemed to be matched by your prompt responses when we were discussing me sending my work to you. It just seems like now that you have my harness in your possession the customer service is out the window.

I think the reason the hounds haven't been unleashed yet is it sounds like a couple people have a personal connection with voodoo. So I for one assume that if a friend of his were to call him and say wtf? Then he would get his **** together! We'll have to see how it plays out the rest of the week I guess.
 
Very glad this was the outcome. I can only imagine the work load the guy is under. Guess thats a good thing and a bad thing all in one lol.

You're right. I have been disappointing thus far. My communication has sucked. My main problem is when I absolutely get slammed I go into tunnel vision. The only high point is the end product.

Here is where I am. The ecm you supplied doesn't have iac drivers. I know I said I had an extra harness and ecm. I do but it's not in acceptable condition to give to a customer. I pulled a harness today that is. This is for the red blue 0411 ecm. I have plenty of those.

I am going to start tearing the harness down tomorrow morning. At the latest it will ship Monday, if it doesn't I'll do it for free.

Sounds fair enough then. He just needs to learn to manage his time differently. For example, taking the last hour of every day to send out updates. Like I said, people will almost always be understanding of any situation provided that there is an open line of communication.
 
Well its nearly 2 months later and I still dont have a harness. I was told via email it was shipped around the 24th of october and am yet to see it. I asked numerous times for tracking or at least where he sent it to due to the fact that in one of my unanswered emails I asked for it to be addressed to my local UPS hub. I got really sick of checking UPS everyday as theres no way to call and ask w/o the tracking number, which I was told I would be provided and never was after asking for it 3 or 4 times I gave up.

He pulled his phone contact from his website. I guess I wasnt the only one trying to reach him about whats going on with their order. I sent him an email monday informing him I havent received a harness 3+ weeks later. I just want my damn stuff back. This has gotten beyond ridiculous. I have way more important things in my life going on than to battle with this guy thats clearly in over his head with his work load.

I really dont like to go against the grain w/ the brotherhood, especially since a few members here have personal relationships with this guy but if I dont hear something by the end of the day next monday after the holiday weekend is over the "Voodoo injection stole my harness" thread is going on ****ing pirate...
 
That's pretty messed up.

Tell me about it. I shouldnt have to hunt someone down just to find out wtf is going on. Theres only two possible scenarios going on. Either he lied to me to get me to me off his back (if you call emailing someone every week or so for a status update being on someones back) or the harness is truly lost in the mail. Im going with the first scenario.

Serious I would have said **** you, keep the goddamn LS harness Im taking my business elsewhere if it wasnt for the fact that he has my factory truck harness........
 
Well here we are, the end of the day monday with no response to an email 5 days old about a harness hes had for 3 months that supposedly shipped 3 weeks ago.

Im doing as Russell recommended and calling the shop that rents him space to work out of to try to get in contact with him. Im just beyond done. Stay far away from this guy. Im going to make it my mission to let everyone out there in the LSX/4 wheel community know that despite his prior work/experiences hes turned to nothing but a shyster that has no idea how to run a business.
 
yup, that's not cool..

your being better about it than I would, I'd be on his front lawn shooting flaming nuns at his bay window...
 
Cobalt offroad was contacted today. Turns out he is an employee there not just renting space. I informed the person I spoke with that I havent been able to get in contact with him for weeks and that hes had my harness for 3 months. He told me he wasnt in today because of a family emergency (Which I was aware of the fact that he just had a kid searching for his phone number on facebook). He then went on to ask me if I had his email address which I said yes Ive sent him 5 emails in the last 3 weeks and they've all been ignored. This seemed to not shock the guy in the least :doah:

The guy from Cobalt was nice and helpful. Gave me his voicemail extension and told me he should be in tomorrow or the next day. Also said he would lean on him a little to get in touch with me.

This sounds like its the same old song and dance for this guy to be honest. I wonder how many other poor people there are out there wondering WTF is going on with their stuff and why this guy isnt following through with contact or delivery...
