Dude, springs are scary. Glad you are ok. I’ve witnessed that scenario before and it gives me butt pucker just thinking about it.

I've had a c-clamp crack and bend while making a up a leaf spring pack and that was enough for me to go inside and change my shorts... can't imagine how you felt.
Struts are fun without a compressor. I was 15 doing my first strut job and I put a whole in the garage ceiling 
After that we learned how to shoot them into a bed sheet or a moving blanket.

Had to hit the yard yesterday and grab some cheap parts for this turd. Got the entire rear diff assembly, driveshaft, and all of the steering parts for 181 bucks.
Keeping this turd alive one junk yard run at a time!
Also blew a sidewall couple weeks ago on the way to work. Then blew the spare coming home.
