K 30 value

About 3 months ago I found a 1981-82 k30 single wheel rear truck with a big block, SM 465/205, D60 front w/4.10 gears and 14 ff. From what the inspection sticker has on it the truck has been parked for 2 years under a shed but the paint on the hood is bad and some rust on top of bed rails. The rest of the paint looks perfect. What I have seen so far has been great. I was wonder what I should offer for the truck so if he ask make an offer I do look like I am trying to cheat him. This is the first one I have seen in my area and I know they exist but very hard to find down here. Most of the time they are rusted to the ground. If I can't afford it I will drop you a line.

I wouldnt make the first offer. Just ask him what hell take for it and work from there. Ive always had the best luck doing that.
