I removed my bed from my 86 3500 crewcab to start cleaning the frame and to run new stainless steel fuel and brake lines today. when I was looking at the rear brake setup I cam across this rear brake junction / valve that seems to be controlled by rear suspension movement. I will post a picture as soon as I figure out how to post it. My question is can I eliminate this or is this needed? Also if it's needed can I get this new?

by pass it and take it out of there. thay didnt work that great in the day new and now old it suckes.

search this if you dont beleve me. :wink1:

What is it? Some sort of load based proportioning valve:confused:

My 86 K30 reg cab has one too....for a little while longer:D

Can the junction stay and just the linkage to the axle be removed or should the brake line be cut and double flared with some new line?
