Does anyone know if this will work? Will it mount between the frame rails without issue and will I be able to use the fuel door in it's current location?I dont want to cut a hole behind the rear whels just to make it work. How many gallon tank is the k-5?

yes will fit in rails.

need brackets made or modifyed.

yes filler door will work with lots of plumbing, but not best at all.

25gal small 30 gal big if i recall corectly.

i am using a 30 gal in my k30 old school build and made 2 new rear brackets/crossmembers for the back end of the frame and ditched the old orignals. and i am going to make a little door to fill it from the inside of the box at the right rear corner. but will leave my orignal door on the side of the bed for a power cut out switch for the whole truck batt system.

and if you have a tbi / fuel injected truck get a 87-up blazer tank with the tbi sending unit in it.

The tank is in an '88 that had TBI.I pulled the engine, switched to carb and have an electric fuel pump mounted on the frame in the engine bay.My p/u is already set up for dual tanks and a friend just swapped me a new tank for a steering box and a tail light.I was just debating which way to go since I'll be working down there anyway.
