K20 or K30?

Found this on Craigslist. Its a couple hours away and the add just says its an 86 diesel 4x4 and he doesnt know if its a 1 ton or 3/4. This is the only pic he has on hand and I dont want to make the long drive for a K20, which I think it is.

He's at work now. He doesnt seem to know much about it and wont be at home until late this afternoon. I was actually looking for an S-10 but when I saw this I had to shoot him an email.
 
Yeah, no telling whats in the back though. Its a Scottsdale, he said he had left it sitting for about a year and it fired right up and he drove it to his new house. Fingers crossed for axles.
 
sagged springs and a diesel engine, could make it sit lower. hard to tell from that pic. if it's cheap enough get it anyway for parts.
 
He's asking 2k or reasonable offer. Doesnt sound like he has had too many hits on it. I really want an economical pickup, but a 1 ton would be useful.
 
Have him count how many U bolts are in the front. Even easier then steering arm bolts. Could read off the VIN to you also.
 
good one, i always forget about that cause most of the time the axles i get are already out of the truck.
 
He is supposed to take a pic of the hub for me this afternoon. I'll call him and ask him about the U bolts and VIN then.

Too late, I just picked it up. It's a k-30 with 5 dana 60's in the bed. Got it for $1500

thanks bro! it sure looks like it spent its life working.and like was said, who knows whats in the bed? man i have had two new customers in this year with old dodges. with biggg nasty 60,s up front.if i had any money. i know i could get one for a few hundred.
 
Nope. Didnt call back or answer my calls. Going to call him again tomorrow though.
