OK thanks first of all for looking.

1. How much does it cost to convert a dana 60 front from a dually to a single wheel?

2. Who wheels the crew cab duallys and single wheel pickups? and how do you like em?

3. What to pick up Either single wheel crew cab, dually, or convert the suburban? I want a 4 door but a pickup thats wheelable. What do you guys like?

I don't have a crew cab or sub but, I'd say ORD's Cousin Willard is a sweet example of a crew cab that gets wheeled!:bow::D

ok, since I have a Suburban that I wheel and Had a crew cab that I wheeled a lot and made many mods to I'll givethis a shot:

First the specs:

88 Crewcab, 6" lift and 38"TSLs
90 Sub 4" lift 39.5" Iroks

The Crewcab was too long in stock length for most stuff. I had less trouble in the sand than anything else because of how forgiving sand is. The truck would just slide over the dunes. The breakover angle is what killed it the most. I would get hung up on stuff that other smaller vehicles with lesstire and lift would have no problem with. I also has a problem with the rear over hang. The 10" drop bumper didn't help either. It got hung up a lot also.

I realised these problems and started by cutting off the sheet metal on the lower portion of the bed. This wasn't enough so I removed the bed, moved the entire rear suspension forward 23 13/16" and cut off the frame right at the rear spring hanger(Almost 4" removed total w/out bumper). I kept the bumper for a bit but it got pretzeled in Las Cruces. After the bumper was gone, I never got hung up again in the back. My wheel base was almost 2 feet shorter than a crewcab, but still 10" longer than a Suburban.

I loved being able to take my wife and daughter anywhere and have room inside for all of our bags and the bed for fire wood and coolers, etc.

I got rid of the crew cab and was without for awhile. We were about to have another kid so I thought the Suburban would be a great "take the whole family" rig.

I am happy with the wheel base in the Suburban, but the rear overhang is again a problem(I had to relocate the lisence to the back door because it kept getting flattened). I have yet another kid on the way and a new dog and have enough room for all of them and our stuff for a weekend outing.

Overall, the crewcab was alright for general wheeling but had problems with the more technical stuff in stock form and required major modification to increase it's wheelability.

The Suburban, though still a large truck, is a lot better for offroad use. I would love to have the overhang of the Blazer, but am not to worried about it yet.

We wheel my buddys K30 Crew Cab some and it's tight on a lot of trails but does OK.
My plan is to build one with a 5' flatbed. Move the rear axle forwart and bob the frame off ad much as possible. I just want to be able to take at least 3 passengers along.
