My question is :is an 14 bold GM FF rearaxle from a G30 (van) the same as the rear of a k30 and if not what is different than?

It is the same except it's 3 inches wider making it the same width as the front axle. Pretty sure you'll have to move the spring perches and shock mounts, but other than that no difference.

I believe the spring perches are placed different. The shock mounts could be different as well.

wow!!!! this is quikservice guys!!! another question: is there a ARB locker for a 4.88 difratio for this axle??? again thanks for the replies

the van axle is what I am using in my rig.
the axle is the same width as a dana 60 front, the shock mounts are in the right place, the only difference is the spring perches. I am putting new perches on my axle and will not have to remove the factory ones to do that.
if you can weld new perches use it, if not just get the right axle
