Looking to spruce up the K30 a little. I painted it with a 91 Light Blue Met. I thought it would look good with just a solid color but it looks too plain.

What do you guys think? I was thinking adding some silver to it. Maybe some bright silver flames, or two-tone it? Or do you think I should just keep it all one color and add the wheel well and side moldings? Or nothing at all?

Update the trim and molding by using the '91 V-series trim/molding.

The wheelwell moldings don't have the black line in the middle. Just all solid aluminum.
Then get the newer body molding with the "3500" symbol on the trim instead of a fender emblem like the common ones. You know, the mostly black ribbed trim with a chrome highlight line on it.

This should make people wonder "WTF?" At least those who know something about the trim and moldings of our years of trucks.

Get some of those wheelwell moldings then id say get ome late model 3500 trim peices. Could maybe do a pinstripe too

I say two tone with a black stripe down the body line separating the two colors. I think a very light silver would look great as the second color.

Here's a little photochop:

I still like some GM trucks with two-tone colors. The trick is to pick the right color that looks attractive enough.
I would say use pearl white for the second color. That should be one bad looking truck.

i might get shot for saying this.

either red or blue

ss stripes

cowl hood with a bed cover continuing the stripes all the way to the back. and some fender flares.

You can paint any K5, 10, 20 the scheme you quoted above but never, ever, ever paint any K30 like that. That would be doing it a disgrace.

Thats my biggest complaint when someone completely removes all trim and molding before a new paint job. The end product is too boring and plain.

I'd do the earlier Silverado body molding, wheel well trim, and LMC CLEAR side marker lights.

My K30 basically has that theme, just need to put the factory side molding

on.
