I know a guy with a 81k30 standard cab dualy .
Says when his dad bought it it was only a couple years old. It has a 454 and a 465 trans. He says the engine came in it.

I didn’t think they made get a k30 with a BB

Could you get a K30 or any 4x4 factory with a BB?

I haven seen the truck up close only from my truck in the pissing rain and mud about 200’ away.

I think you're confusing k30 with k5.
K5 was not offered with a 454 in those years, but k30 and k20 were.
You could however get a 2wd blazer with the 454

I have never seen or heard of a 2WD Blazer with a factory big block. Any links?

I haven’t either.
I was basically going on what Gus’s post said but I didn’t know about 81 and up 3/4 ont ton trucks having them. Seen lots with Big blocks but didn’t know it was a option. Paul’s that he got from Isam obviously was then. Thought maybe someone swapped it in.

Btw I did try to buy the truck from him for a lowball price but he knew it was worth something!? Lol!
Shit!

My dad custom ordered a 75 k30 with a 454/465 combination. Knowing people in the design section of chevy probably helped.

He needed it for boat ramps. Most were dirt back then.

Bruh. He ordered what? Lol

Exactly what it says. It was pointed out that you could not get a BB 4x4 truck prior to 1981. He did it in 75. The exact same engine and transmission he had in his 73 c30 that he used as a propane conversion platform for gm.

It says k30, probably meant c30? k20? Nothing anywhere says that was possible. Always down to see something new though.

I remember reading a super chevy back in the 90s that highlighted a first gen blazer 2wd factory 402. I remember it just for that fact. While I can't confirm it was true I would think a magazine would have checked before publishing it? Or maybe not.

Would be interested to see about the 73+ blazer 2wds.

Just what I told you. 87 tbi 454, 465, 4.11 gears.
Reg cab long box.

I can drive to the truck today. Its still 100% ORIGINAL IN MINT SHAPE

It is used as a sprayer truck . It has a bed mounted sprayer. Only get used a few times a year and back in the shed. Its black. Just like the truck I was bitching about in the pad. With the ugly wheels.

And no I'm not telling you where it's at. My neighbor knows I want it.

I have never seen in person , or seen any documentation of a Factory Big Block 2wd Blazer/Jimmy . But that being said , Big Block C-10’s we’re fairly common in the 73-80 trucks.

I had a '74 C-10 with a factory 454/TH400...(and a 12 bolt rear with 3:73's,that I'm surprised I didn't grenade doing massive burnouts!)..

I know 2wd pickups as far back as '67 could be had with BBC engines,a guy I know has a factory camper C-30 with a 427 ,not sure if its a tall block one or not--seen many 68-72 2wd 1/2 & 3/4 ton pickups with 396,402's in them factory...I think they didn't start putting 454's in pickups till 1973..

That was for the 75 k30

I thought only 70s blazers could be 2wd?
