k5 Blazer 350 to 454 swap

Thank you all for your input. It took 3 weeks for off road design to ship them. But I finally got the mount. All issues fixed. Everything lined right up. Now I can continue putting it back together.

Their shipping ain't the best but their products are....
It's not even good. I tried to connect to an agent on their messenger service. No agents available. I called.. no one answered so I left a message. To my surprise they did call me back the next day. Told me my order would be shipped that day or the next. 4 days later I finally got a shipped email. But that was just the label being created. It took three more days before it actually shipped. Great product but clearly don't care about customer satisfaction.

Same experience for me whenever I order. Shipping takes forever.

You guys ever been to Rifle CO? Its a small town in the middle of the Rockies. Shipping is going to take a little longer. Also, being a small town, you don't just hire some temp labor to help get product out during the busy season. Good company, good product. Plan ahead.

When I bought my ORD crossmember to fit the 8.1 liter(it is the only option short of a blowtorch and a welder, which was definitely not the plan)
They had it in stock, still took 2 weeks to get it, and my state is right next door.
I could have driven, picked it up and driven home in a day.
Guys are correct, Rifle Colorado is BFE lost in the woods.
But, ORD parts are worth the wait. Best parts around.

The cross member was perfect as always. The truck frame on the other hand was tweaked so badly, I spent two days, pulling, prying, aligning, and re drilling bolt holes in the frame to get it in place.
Ended up swapping out summit racing “solid motor mounts” for the DIY4X competition mounts. SUPER BEEFY! made the summit solid motor mounts look puny.
But, yes, even those, had to leave all bolts finger tight, get everything mounted, then tighten it all up.

So, you are not alone in your trials of motor mount Hell.
It is a real thing!

Really making me want to take the fenders off and keep cleaning, even though that means a longer downtime.

What headers are you using?

Yeah, there's some pain to a big block swap, but few regret it!
From mild-to-wild a big block is well worth the effort every time - just can’t go wrong with a motor that produces great torque in any configuration and is near limitless in horsepower all depending on your budget!

They offer different types of cylinder head ports for every power level - tow truck to Pro Mod it’s all available.

Due to how I built the motor i needed to run headers with a 2" tube. No one makes them except for custom builds. These are from Lemon headers. Very nice work. I highly recommend them if you can afford them. NOT CHEAP!!

The poly inserts in the original pictures look to maybe be installed upside down. Those locating tabs are supposed to sit flat to the bracket, rather than angled.

They were installed correctly. The problem is solved now.
