Welcome to the world of accessories of the late ‘70’s & early ‘80’s - they had full & half-page adds in every 4x4 magazine.
It was so f-ing rad.
Love the old ads. I miss flipping through the J.C. Whitney catalogs. But I am curious how you open the tailgate with the ladder on.
Wondering the same. Also how much weight the fiberglass top could support.
IIRC ( at least for the few that I saw in person ) the ladder was hinged at the top and swung out/upwards supported by a simple rod - it was not user friendly !
And the top did not support much weight, especially in the center.
Lots of accessory ideas and products were advertised but not all were good ideas or very functional - but, a very few were great.
