Just wondering if anyone knows if there’s anybody that carries a panel for the back of the K5 blazer where the cap meets the roof I know I can have one bent or make one, but I didn’t know if one’s available where it bolts and seals together my vehicle is a 78 K5 4X4 - well tried to add picture doesn’t seem to work very wellIMG_0642.jpeg

Nobody is currently making them (that I know of) but there were one or two aftermarket companies that used to make them. You might be able to find a used one but they are far and few in between.

There used to be one of the half cab conversions for sale on Facebook Marketplace out here around Western Kentucky but the guy wanted silly money. Like $2500. He either sold it or took it down finally.

Here's a whole CUCV with one for $2500 up in Illinois:

I guess I’ll probably stick with my original plan and just cut it out out of a sheet and fix it

The other option is find someone on here/FB/Craigslist/wherever who is parting out a Blazer that still has the roof intact and rust free (or mostly rust free). Go sawzall the entire roof off the parts truck at the A and B pillars and bring it home. Drill all the spot welds off both your roof and the donor roof skins (there are welds on all 4 sides), grind out the brazing at the top of the A pillars, and swap them.

In hindsight this is what I should have done, assuming I could have found a cleaner roof skin, rather than repairing mine. Mine turned out fine but it was a lot more work.

Good luck!

my only bad spot is where the cap is secured i think it will be an easy fix so thank you all for info
