84 K5 Blazer / 6in lift
Inside the wheel on the top of the caliper there is a 7/16 bolt that hold in the brake line. I noticed brake fluid all down the caliper and the inside of the tire. Looked like it was coming from the area the bolt holds the brake line to caliper.
I tightened that 7/16 bolt that hold the break line in the caliper. It didn’t tighten much …but I did get a little out of it.
After this I sprayed brake cleaner all over the caliper and shield to clean off the brake fluid. Started the truck up and pumped the brakes for a few min. held the brakes down, etc. Checked and there was no leaking. I guess I should also drive it some real well too.
My concern is that I just got 2 inches of more lift on my truck. I have extended brake lines ( from when it was a 4in lift) and they still have some play now with the bigger lift. They aren’t pulled tight or anything…..but also don’t have a lot of extra length.
Any ideas? I know zero about brakes…. thanks
