K5 center jump seat

It used to be that you could open up catalogs and order center seats to replace the console in a Blazer/Sub/Bronco... I would be interested to know if such a thing was offered from the factory. That particular one looks kind of sketchy to me.
I was searching high and low for a center seat this year and couldn't find anything. Finally I bought a center seat/console from a late model Chevy. It's brand new, has awesome cupholders on the top and you can actually put stuff in the top (unlike the factory console which repels everything you try to set on it.) My interior is Blue, but you can't get anything in Blue after like 1998, so it is gray. I was thinking to have it recovered, but the shops want about $300 to do it and I only have about $70 into the thing. I probably would have found a pickup 60/40 bench and worked it in to slide way forward, but I really like having '90 K5 seats.

Speaking of newer chevy seats, I had the thought of putting the two bucket seats from a newer chevy, from like 01-05 range, that has the center seat that bolts to them in the middle. Anyone ever seen this or done it themselves? Going more for comfort than stock since its a daily driver with little off roading.
