K5 door issues

The spare set of doors that I got are severly cracked and broken around the hinge mounts.
The drivers door that is on it now is starting to crack.
I take it this is a problem with these.
Is there a way to repair this? or do I need to start looking for a new door shell, I was looking in The Paddock and they didn't have door shells, does LMC carry them?

Anyone have a good line on tube doors?

I'm not sure about the repair, but I do know that LMC and Chevyduty both carry door shells...Pricey though

Do any of your doors have a plate on the outside where the latch bolts to.. (3 phillip head screws)
I think that blazer doors have a plate to reinforce the door there.. cut down truck doors don't and thats why they're more likely to crack in that area... i hear welding that plate onto a truck door will work and help prevent the cracking.

just bought a door for around $100 from a guy here locally. He's a distributer for Goodmark and sells their stuff at a pretty good discount. Not sure it'd be worth it once you paid the shipping, but you could look into it. I'd be happy to give you him name/number if you'd like. I'll see him in a couple of hours.

100 is damn cheap for door shell like that

new doors wil cost you $$$$
i would find good used personally, i would never buy new metal unless it was to be totally restored factory correct show truck or pro street or something,
