I just confused myself.

I thought that there was a folding/sliding drivers seat. Am I wrong? I checked the Blazer brochures, I don't see any mention of it, although they make it clear that '86+ the passenger side folds/slides.

So were there folding/sliding driver seats??

Yes my 87 folds and slides just like the passenger side.

Sweet. Now the question, does it bolt down like the previous drivers seats? (floor bolt pattern the same?)

Shoot, that would mean I'd have to find a new drivers seat in as good a condition. :(

well are the covers the same? and i had no idea they had sliding and folding seats! i have always wanted that.

Both mine in the 83 fold and slide , and recline too ...... out of a 90's Astro van , with armrests . I need seatcovers , my fat *** is ruining the fabric and the lumbar knobs broke off :thumb:

Dorian, I dont know if the spacing is the same but I can measure the hole spacing later tonight and let you know what that is

That would be awesome, I'd appreciate it.

Any chance the Astro seats bolted into the stock locations? Not looking to add any holes to the truck.

No , they didn't , they were bolted to what looks like 90-91 K5 bases . The P/O installed them before I bought it . What they did bolt the bases to flat stock , and the flat stock is on the floor with existing holes . So my floor can go back to stock seats and brackets at any time .

Another two hours before I'm home, I can't wait! Someone go measure theirs for me lol. :)

Thanks, one more thing to check out, and potentially search for!

I should add, do the passenger and driver seat bases look the same? As I recall the passenger side tilt/slide has a more substantial metal base that makes it look more "enclosed" than the non tilt-slide variants.

I think they are different - the bases that is. I'm pretty sure the mounting holes are different because I remember thinking it must be to allow more room to step into the back on the passenger side assuming that will be the most common side of ingress.

The riders side is 9 5/8 x 13 1/4
Its one inch different in length
My driver and rider seat bases look nearly identical. The riders one is a little more enclosed but not much.
