I understand the basic physics behind why not running a front sway bar is advantagous(SP?) off-road, but how bad of an on-road experience should I expect? The truck in question is my daily driver, but is rarely driven as I work from home. It is a 1989 K5 Blazer with a 14 Bolt FF rear and 8 lug 10 bolt front, with a detroit locker in the rear. It has a 4" full spring lift on 35/14.5/16 Boggers. If I remove the front sway bar, am I looking for a disaster as far as on-road driving goes? (No more than 60-65 MPH). I am curious to here from those who are not running a front sway an 35"ish tires...

i have been running with out for years even with stock and 31" at times. then all the way to 6" and 38" no problems. just remove it and go drive it and get a feel for it and then never look back. but its all up to you.

Same here, I drove mine with stock springs and 31" tires with no sway bar for years, much better, then with 4" and 35" tires, same thing, much better, smoother on bumps :D

I have 35's with 4" Rancho front springs. I kept the swaybar on for a few years then took it off. It was my DD for over ten years without a swaybar and I can not tell any differance on the road without it. Just try it and see. your springs might be a little softer than mine if so you might feel a little body roll when cornering.

Just disconnect it and drive around a little. In the next hour you'll be taking it off for good.;)

I have an 89 blazer and had to ditch the sway bar when i went to crossover steering and it didn't make a difference really. I DD my rig and it has 8" lift with 35's.

Same, Swat bar is a going bye bye now that I have read this. Thanks guys..
