k5 gas tank

Tried the search and never found the info i was looking for. According to lmc truck there are 3 part listings for a k5 blazer gas tank. I was wondering what the difference in the 3 where? second question what years had the chrome gas cap on the side of the body.

My guess is one is the smaller tank (20 gal), then the larger tank (31?) And probably a diesel tank which I think is the same as gas but different sender.

The 2 offered tank sizes were 25 and 31 gallon I believe and I'm pretty sure they stopped making the chrome gas caps right there on the body that you speak of in 1980. Pretty sure 81 was the first year of the "fuel door"

My 79 2wd k5 had a fuel door. My dads 77 C30 dually did not. Either 78 or 79 was the 1st year of the fuel door
