Good afternoon from Spain! A big hug!:saweet:

I have a Chevy Blazer K5 1990 1500 with v8 engine and th700r4 box. I've short-circuited and the car doesn't do anything, has no voltage anywhere, doesn't switch on when the key is turned, and doesn't turn on anything except the lights. I can't find the general fuse, where can I look? which fuse is the one that cuts all the car circuitry? I'm desperate.:dunno:

Thank you very much and greetings.

Check fusible links. They are down near the starter, and look like regular wire that has just been spliced in, but are designed to break continuity in a large short circuit. I think there is one off of the alternator wiring too.

If wired up factory, check for 12V at the junction block in the engine bay, firewall, up above the distributor somewhat towards the brake booster. Large-ish gauge red wires going to/from it, just a piece of black plastic with a metal stud in the center. Just confirmation of where the problem is. If no voltage there, the problem is almost certainly the fusible links.
