350 create motor, TH350 tranny and headers no coated. Truck runs on the warm side but when parked and idling after driving water starts to boil and continues to boil when shut off. Most likely t-stat is malfunctioning. Not sure yet whats in their but what one should i go with? 195, 180 or lower? I am going to replace the radiator with a 4 row and maybe wrap the headers this winter. Anything else to do while i am at it?

Thanks for your help
Brian

Depending on the year will determine what temp t-stat to run. If it's a carbed rig then a 180* but if it has FI then you want a 195*.

Not sure yet what temp gauge is in their. Napa says stock is 195 but I picked up a 180 last night. Stock chevy 350 shroud. I think the clutch fan is bad as well. Yeah sorry the motor is a carb.
