I know it's been done but I can't seem to find any pictures or descriptions. How did y'all adapt the k5 parking brake cables to the 14b backing plate? This is the last piece I need to get done to get this truck inspected. I'm told the axle is from an 83 k30. I bought all news cables for an 84 k5 and the rears are different lengths. It's got the 2 bolt style holder. The cables match up to all the mounting holes and what not on the blazer. Just gotta figure out the connection to the backing plate.

Started building some brackets. Should have the first one finished this week and I’ll post some pictures.
First one done. No it’s not pretty but meh.
I'm 90 percent positive you could have just swapped backing plates to the later push in style.
I looked at that and it would cost me more than $8 in metal and a couple hours with a plasma and welder. I’m not going for pretty. Just functional.
I switched backing plates from a 1986 Chevy 1031 1 ton 4x4 truck. Worked perfect.
