Hello from Europe :woot:. Just bought my dream car...a '79 K5 in original condition, complete with Cheyenne package. Found it in northern Germany and drove it home a few hundred miles. Needs minor attention mostly due to rust around the forward floor area and some cosmetics such as a new floor carpet as well as fixing the broken rpm gauge and cruise control. I will be in Chicago and LA later this month and was wondering if there are any walk in places I could get original parts such as grills, wheels, interior decor, decals, door seals etc...

I am aware of LMCTrucks and similar but an actual physical shop would make things easier...

Thank you :thumb: very much for the help and greets,

You mentioned broken rpm gauge, would that be a factory in-dash tachometer? If so, very cool!! Those are kinda rare! As for a walk in store in the chicago area, sorry I do not know of any. Lots of junkyards though

Yes its factory installed. It even worked until i tried the stereo...then a fusable link burnt through and since then its not moving.

Dont know of any that are just blazers. I usually go to one of two pick n pulls. The one in the north is nice and clean but doesnt have as much old stuff. The one south has more older stuff but it smells really bad there lol
