I have been lurking around here for a while now, and I finally got some photos of my k5 so I figured I would post them up here and tell you about it and myself.
I paid $1100 for it a year ago with alot of miles on it. Its a 91 TBI 350 w/ 700R4. The engine was rebuilt about 60k miles ago and I have driven it from DC to Western NY twice, and to school round trip 45 miles a day and it has never given me any trouble. The only thing I have done to it so far since I bought it was tear the running boards off and put a Pro-Junk (read:Pro-Comp) 4 inch spring and rear block lift on it with some 33s.
I have big plans for it but it will be slow going as I am a full time student and funds are tight. I am currently in a 2 year welding and fabrication program and I hope to apply what I learn there to the improvement of my k5. The cool part is once I get into the fabrication portion I can build my bumpers, cage, etc. for projects and get graded on them.
For now I will be doing some basic upkeep and mods that wont cost me an arm and a leg (i.e. cut fenders, bedline the interior (which I have already stripped sans seats.) and I am getting some valve train rattle that I need to address as well.
This forum has been a great source of info so far, and I hope to share my own experiences as I get the opportunity. Yall take care.

Same color scheme mine had when I bought it. This is the only pic I have of it after it was love tapped
