K5 Purchase?

Im new to the board and I am lookin at getting a K5 in the next month or two. I know I want an 87 and up for the FI, but i was wanting to know what other parts/options are better to look for. Thanks

I prefer the straight shift (sm465) I have one in both my k5's (77&84)It all depends on what you want to do with it ? I would go for the most power & lowest gears,but that would not be good if your going to use it as a daily driver.Unless of course you work at the corner drug store.

EFI and look for the one in the best condition. That means runs smoothly, no leaks, as little rust as possible, etc.
