this may sound unheard of but im new to the k5 world. so why does my title say k10?? is there a difference in a k10 and k5 or just something stupid on the title????

k5s mostly show as k10's on their titles. k5 was a nickname i guess for the blazer. in the VIN decoding the 2nd letter K is designation for 4wd. and first number 10 is for half ton so the trucks are k10s, but the blazers are too.
at least that is how i understand it.

Just some nice odditys

hi guys
same here in good ol'Europe. They say:

K5 = 1/2 ton trucks
K10 = 1 ton trucks

...if I'm correctly informed. Mine runs as a K10 in the title, too. But it is a K5

NEGATIVE. K10 is half ton, K20 is 3/4 ton, a K30 is 1 TON

To further confuse things, some states consider K5's station wagons. My registration says mine is a wagon.

I think the V series started in 1988 with the body change so 88-91 is a V series whereas 73-87 are a K series, this was of course for a 4WD.
