This has probably been covered somewhere but I couldn't find anything.
Will a 14 bolt from a 2002 HD 2500 work? I know I would have to relocate perches and mounts. I didn't have a chance to measure yet. Are they the same width? Also I know they have metric bolt pattern wheel lugs. Going in a 1990 k5.
I also found a front differential. It has 44-50 stamp on it hubs say spicer. It's an 8 lug. Both the 14 bolt has 4:10 g80 and the 44-50??? Has 4:11.
Just want to make sure that all this will work

If its an AAM 10.5 it should be fine. Looks like the regular 14bolt. I have one in my1990 k5 and it is great. It has factory disc brakes with e-brake. The wheel studs are metric but the pattern is still the older 8x6.5. Don't get one from a duramax truck, that would be the AAM 11.5 and does not interchange with regular 14bolt stuff. Mine came with a big 1410 yoke on it, super beef. Do some searching, this axle has been discussed quite a bit here. The width is close enough that I didn't even measure, Looks fine on my K5.

Perfect. It's a 10.5" 14 bolt. Any info on the front differential? Pretty sure it's just a dana 44. The 44-50, I'm just not sure what that is?

More info? Pic? The 44 front axle was in the 70's, went to a 10 bolt after that. They are similar but not the same. About the same strength. A picture of the pumpkin will solve it, the 10 bolt has 2 ears on the bottom.

It's stamped 603375-8. I don't have a picture of it. I'm sure by comparing the cover with pictures, it's a dana 44. Just wasn't sure what the 50 meant
