K5 run in the southeast

Well where were you in april? Depdog put together a K5 run at Tellico. We had a blast. Join a club or Southern. Dixie run is not to far off.

Hey grim i'm in Ohio but would love to make one of those runs with ya'll!
I'm from Nashvile,love it down south!!!I'm thinking about moving to the Atlanta area,seems nice around there!

Well start packing before you get snowed in for the season!!!! Atlanta is a great place to live and plenty of Jobs to go around! Heck McD's is paying signing bonuses to get people LOL.

Come on down, we can allways use another K5. Grim is right,we had a blast this spring. Remember the Dixie Run is coming up. I will have some new parts to throw at ledge with the tree on Trail 5. Jim.

Yeah I live in Columbus,Ga. which is about an hour and a half southwest of Atlanta. I love it down here lots of places to go 4-wheeling at. Hey grim I had not yet found this sight as of April, hate I missed that one it was probably a blast. I am thinking about joining a club one of my buddies is in called Georgia Highrollers.

Havn't heard of the "High Rollers". I just did the planning for the Southern Convention so my guess is your club hasn't come under Southern's wing http://www.sfwda.org I run with the biggest club in Ga http://www.gbr4wd.com We have over 50 families (counting kids and S/O's puts us in the 150 person range) and very active club. Most years we ususly take bigest club showing award at Dixie Run.
If you look down a few posts Depdog said he is thinking of making another run to Tellico and looking for a date. Hmmmm lets see Dixie Run is sept 29-oct1 Laborday is sept 4. HAY how about a K5 Holloween RUN oct 27th-29th. Only down side is it will be getting pretty cold by then and some of us dads (me included) may want to trick or treat with the kids.
other time that might be good would be sept 8th-10th. That would leave enough time before Dixie run to fix the trucks, be past Labor day so all the locals will be at home fixing their trucks, but still be plenty warm for camping. Third weekends are bad for me because I wheel with the GBR on those weekends 2nd and 4th weekends would be better for me.

Count me in on this one. My 78 isn't quite ready for anything hard, but I feel it would hold up to a mild/medium run. Which would also give ME the chance to gain some offroad experience. The K5 handles loads different from my corvette!

Hey bone that is so awesome I can't believe there is actually a fellow columbus K5er here. Maybe we can go wheeling together when you get back to Columbus. There are some pics of my truck in the gallery of this site under David Culpepper's '80 Blazer.
