Getting ready to tackle my shackle flip and ew springs an just wanting to see what everyone else has come ip with as far as locations for the hangars.

I'm sure ill have to move them. Hoping to not have to move my body mount up front. Planning on pushing it as far back as possible. Would just like to see some pictures or if anyone can show where they set the location in reference to the stock mounting holes that would be tits.

Thanks guys

i have seen a few but cant recall were on here right now. the front hanger did get all wraped up in the body mount.

to keep wheel centered is moving stuff.

52" stock is centered eye to eye so 26" from center to front and rear is normaly 1" closer to the center for the shackle hanger in stock setup.

64" springs will be centered also at 32" center to center. but the longer leafs = a lot of flex and axle wrap.

the diffrence for hangers will be 32" - 26" = 6" move forward for the front hanger. then rear as far back as you can if on blazer. and get shackle angle set for good ride .

if this is scary then do the 56" rear swap from the 3/4 ton-1 ton stuff and suburban's . the 56" is stock 26" front to center on the spring pack. but + 4" longer on the rear. yes thay are a lot stiffer. but pull a few leafs out to make a 4-5 leaf pack and it will ride good and flex more.

then its just swap the flip kit hangers left to right of stock 52" placement for the cheep mans 56" swap and still bolts in 100% no drilling new holes.

possible modify the stock hanger and weld this in and make a lot of adjustment and get hanger close to no interference of body mount hanger. http://diy4x.com/cart/index.php?route=product/product&path=24&product_id=127

sweet!

thanks for taking the time to write that out.
i've been looking over those threads since.

i guess i shouldve searched 64 not 63s.
but thanks again.

ya lots of people call them 63" when thay are realy 64"

and from the stuff i have read when 64" swaped in plan on anti axle wrap bar .

Yup. Already planning on one. Aldo gonna try leaving the shocks slanted like stock to try and help it out.

If you want to mount 64s, just move the shackle flip back so that rearward mounting holes are now the forward mounting holes. You may have a bump in the lower part of the frame that needs to be modded. This is one way to get the 64s on.

Also, if you do move your axle back 6" with the 64s, you will need to relocate your shocks. DIY4X sells an inboarding shock kit that works well for this.
