K5- Slow Window Motor - Need Suggestions

Let me start by saying "yes, I have read all previous posts on this topic and have tried them all". I have taken my window motor and scissor track out, oiled and lightly greased all joints, pivots, and anything else that moved. I've rebuilt the electric motor too, but the window won't roll up properly. Let me clarify something too. I have recently replace all window rubber, weatherstripping, and seals, so the window is tight. I can raise and lower the glass by hand, so it's not too tight. Regardless, the window won't roll up without me helping it by hand.

Here are the two last remaining things I'm gonna try before I give up.
1.) go buy a reman window motor (maybe my diy rebuild job didn't do the trick).
2.) run a dedicated (thick) power wire from the battery to door, connect it to two relays, and wire it up to get more/better power.

Does anyone have any suggestions for me? I've taken the window assembly completely apart 3 times now trying to figure out why it won't roll up/down like it should. Frankly, I hate getting the rollers back into place, so I'd like the next time I take it apart to be the last time.

Well, you have several options.
First: Buy a new truck. The newer ones seem to all be faster. Probably not your best option though.
Second, do the relay mod. It has been done here lots and lots of times, and seems to have a good success rate.
Do a search on "window mod", and you should find plenty of threads with some schematics and success stories.

I have had success really cleaning the coil spring on the window regulator. The spring tends to get rusty and binds internally. Look at how it coils when the window is rolled down - it binds tightly on itself. The spring should be able to (un)coil easily for the window to move smoothly. Depending on the condition of the spring, it could take much more then just adding some grease to smooth it up. I had to soak mine in WD40 and cycle the spring while blowing the rust out.

A long time ago there was a thread where someone wired up a coupe off flays and it made a dramatic difference in performance.

Seems like I also remember someone swapping in Cavalier motors that worked better too.

Just replaced my passenger side window motor last week and after greasing it after cleaning up the old gunk its way fast now! next is the driver side which still works but needs help at the top. It was only $35 for a new motor from napa for me.
