I have 3 door Chevy Blazer 1988 Silverado. It’s a 4x4 truck SUV with gasoline GM 350 5.7 engine (originally came with large diesel engine)

My existing rig as shown in https://www.flickr.com/photos/46385354@N07/sets/72157650066056327/ already came lifted with shocks and leaf springs but its very hard and jumpy.

I want to bring my suspension to original gasoline engine spec. Should I replace my existing dual front shocks with single shock and want to know if I need removal of any spring leaf from the spring pack to bring this to original gasoline engine spec as it's probably not heavy enough like its original diesel engine to warrant this much damping. I also need to know how many leaves the factory spring packs are supposed to have with gasoline engine. I think my rig has more leaves than the factory gasoline engine setup as want it to ride like a boat.

Welcome to CK5, that looks like a real sharp rig you have! :waytogo:

Seeing as it is lifted, it most likely was lifted with "kit" springs. Almost all of the lift kit springs are pretty stiff. There are a few softer options that are'nt horribly expensive. Tuff Country makes an "EZ ride" spring pack that a lot of guys here swear by. Leaf springs are rated in lbs/inch. A lot of lift kit springs are over 600 lbs/inch. Tuff country EZ rides are about 300 lbs/inch. Be aware the softer the springs get the more body roll you will have...

For shocks up front, definitely get rid of one pair and install a quality monotube shock like Bilstein.
