K5 Tailgate swap ideas?

I read a post here a while ago by a guy who replaced his tailgate window with a camper top door. I think this was on Blazer with a hand-cranked window. This sounded GREAT. My dog is an '87 with the flakey power window. Anyone out there done anything similar? Anyone out there go whole-hog and put in something more like the Side-by-side Suburban doors?

That damn tailgate just sucks the joy right out of an otherwise fantastic machine.

Are those burb barn doors? Or something homegrown? Either way.. its looking good

Grim made them, the best part is the way he built the hinges so the doors open fully.
