My '84 Blazers tailgate won't go up from either the back key or inside. When I turn the key left, the rear brake lamps and back up lamps go on. Same from the inside switch. When I turn it rite, it tries to go down. Normal. I have had fuses blowing to the turn signals for the last while, but have hardly used the truck for a few weeks.
Maybe it's related, but I just removed 1000 lbs of bagged salt from the back of the Blazer, and there was some water mixed in, but the wiring harness runs under the truck. I'll prolly undo the trailer wiring harness jumble, maybe that's the fuse/turn signal prob.
This K5 came from Portlant Oregon, so has very little rust, and I had it oil sprayed to keep the rust in check
