as the title says, did the K5 every come in a Scottsdale trim? had a friend buy a 76 (?) with that on the dash trim.

My 91 is Scottsdale trimmed.

Weird spec on the build - fully loaded mechanically - AC, all power, tranny and oil cooler etc..... It did not have carpet, headliner/plastic, the rear side panels, or the fancy bumpers.

It was owned by Union Pacific RR and rented(?) by whover was doing Texas border patrol at that time.

Scottsdale -- along with the other trimlines, a la Cheyenne -- meant different things in different years.

In later years it was a stripped down base model, frequently used by institutions; in the 70's it was the middle-of-the-line.

Take a look at http://brochures.slosh.com/ for the word from the horse's backside, as it were, about your specific instance.
