I've always loved the looks of these bikes. I found one supposedly rebuilt from the ground up, and it LOOKs the part. I read somewhere that they had an oiling issue on some but :dunno: Anyone here ever had one or have a buddy who did.? I'm seriously thinking of buying this one

Knew a couple of guys that had them back in the day. Don`t remember any problems...just that they were awesome and fast!

The only thing I don`t like it that they are shaft driven, so when you nail the throttle the back end lifts up instead of squating down. Not a problem I just always thought it looked weird. :dunno:

I used to love doing hole shots with my KZ 1000 and it would squat down and Fock off! :woot:

The Yamaha VMax was wicked too!

i've found a few posts about valve seats being weak and valves sinking into the heads. :dunno: I have been on a few forums for them now and they seem alright.

I also love the honda v65 magnas of the same era. thats actually my next choice cause theres one for the same price near here.

Vmax's are sweet but their still gold $$$$ cheapest one around has 50000+ miles and is $5k
