I have a chance to trade my Polaris 500 H.O. for one of these straight up. My dad got it from his boss's wife (his boss passed away last year). It has been in his (the boss) barn for the last 2 years. It's covered in thick dust but looks almost brand new. Charged the battery, put in fresh gas and checked the oil and it fired right up! No smoke, no knocking, and no leaks anywhere. What do y'all think? A buddy of mine had one and you couldn't stop it. Just wanted to get some long term feedback from some of you that own or have owned them. Thanks!

Well I decided to go ahead and do this. I'll still have access my to 4 wheeler if I need to go somewhere to small for the Mule. Anyone have anything to add about the longevity and/or performance of these machines? I know they aren't fast but that's not what I need.

Me and my brother are going to take it this weekend to get it settled back in since it hasn't been ran in over 2 years. Then come back home and change the oil in it again. Going to also siphon the old gas out of it, change the fuel filters and top it back off with fresh gas along with some Lucas fuel treatment. I'm kind of excited! :D

Well, how did it go? I have been wanting to try and find one of these at a reasonably expensive price I could afford. Everybody is always extremely expensive when it comes to anything similar around here.

It is running WAY better than when I picked it up. Changed all of the fluids and put some Lucas fuel treatment in it with a tank full of fresh gas. Got 3 miles down the levy and the damn belt broke! :haha:Man that was a long walk. :doah:Got it loaded back up and back to the house. Got a new belt on it then I started cleaning it real good. Took the tires and wheels off of it because it had surface rust on all of them, rust treated them and painted them black. Repainted all of the undercarriage black and made sure everything was greased and all of the linkages lubed up real good. It looks like a totally different ride. I wish I had some before pics of it but oh well. I even wired up a trailer pigtail so when I'm pulling the trailer behind it I'll have running and brake lights. I think I made a good choice. I've also been looking at lift kits too. VERY cheap so a new set of tires are probably on the way as well. :D

Get some before & after pics for the lift and other future mods. Maybe a build thread?:dunno::haha:
