305/700/208 with new ORD engine crossmember, new motor mounts, and new trans mount, all stock rubber mounts (new). The problem is that this is the second trans mount I have replaced, one broke completely in half:doah: Is my frame flex causing this? I'm out of ideas on this. Luckily it didn't break my adapter. Any suggestions?

Have a support rod from xfer to bellhousing - might be a good idea. Urethane mounts might be a good idea to keep flex down and they are generally tougher than standard rubber mounts.

try the polyurethane....little on the pricy side but alot stronger...ive had mine for years and havnt broke one yet...even had a tranny back off from motor when i built my first k5...i didnt have any shocks put it in 1st gear with th350, 4 low...no front driveshaft and hammer the pedal on and off to get it bouncein 3ft in the air till tranny backed off motor and pulled converter out...:doah:cracked bellhouseing too...:doah::doah: now im on my 3rd k5 with same tranny mounts body is rear quarter panels are seperating were door meets body from flexin with out shell and still havnt brokem...
