Keep It Simple Suburban

Grocery Getter and More
Looking up stuff today a drop shackle is under $70 for a pair and good for 1.5-2” drop. Bell tech is the normal outlet for spindles but they are high on price. We deal with Maxtrac suspension and can get theirs for a much better price.

Using a drop spindle keeps the spring stock so ride quality really shouldn’t change.

Though I’d recommend a set of shorter shocks all the way around.

The front should still use a stock length shock with a drop spindle. A arms should stay in the same range of travel.
Correct?

If you drop it much that trailer hitch will be dragging the ground. :haha:
Yeah that hitch is something else. It is getting pulled/modified for sure.
With the back window graphics I'm thinking they hauled bicycles at some point.

I have checked the pics over quite a few times and I swear this thing is actually raised currently. It is actually packed full of stuff so it can only get taller after I clean it out. With the spare tire on the d/s front and the unknown tire and wheel sizes it might just be an optical illusion.

2" block in the back and I gotta believe some kind of lift spring in the front.
That's a 235/75/15
The mags are 20s so pretty sure it has been lifted.
Also the dull silver is actually a wrap, I'm hoping my pressure washer at work will blow it off.
Dark pewter metallic from the factory.

Pressure washer will likely leave lots of adhesive behind. Use a heat gun to apply moderate heat and it should peel off. If it's not cracking, the heat should allow it to come off pretty clean.

So as with most projects this thing has been eating up a bit of my time. I replaced the ds rotor and caliper, also the interior was pretty nasty so I pulled all the seats to remove and pressure wash the carpet. But the worst part is the transmission has no reverse.
While I was cleaning up the bare floor I kept looking at this.

Just gotta find a top cover for my 2 whl drive 4500. So much for keeping it simple.

Well, that escalated quickly. You could ship the 4L60 down to @Babaganoosh and he'll send the trans to Valhalla properly.

Manual trans Burbs rule too. Stay the course!

That's funny because I actually thought about a smoky burnout while chained to a jersey barrier until it shit the bed totally, ala Babaganoosh style. The possible collateral carnage has me thinking not a good idea.
