I was thinking about selling my rear TC 4" lift springs, buying some 52's or 56's and doing a shackle flip on my k5. I am looking for a better ride, especially in the back. Whats everyone's opinion on this?
I like my 56" rear springs and flip kit. It rides just fine even with 9 leaves in. There are a lot of 56" springs out there with different arch and spring rates so your mileage may vary unless you care to tune the leaf pack.
Yeah my rear lift springs have a jolt to them when I hit even suttle bumps, and they have been on there for 6 years. I just wish I would have bought a shackle flip to begin with, but those springs are gone. Do 56's fit on a k5 frame with the stock bumper?
Yeah 56" springs are the way to go and they will fit but you will need to get a shackle flip either ORD or DIY4X or even an old ecobit flip all of them can be installed on opposite sides and be used with 56" springs or stock 52's.
