I want to keep the BB in my 72' 'Blazer but right now its not so driver friendly, it's not a daily driver but It takes about as long to to start it as I drive it.

What do you think.

How did you get a 396 in a 72 , swap it in ?

Swap it out , I'll trade ya fresh 60 over 350 four bolt block , new heads , and a complete new in box bottom end with a steel crank for it . Would look tits in my Chevelle project and I just swap the 307 emblems for 400 emblems :wink1:

Maybe you should be PMing Greg, he is selling one of the engines i built for him that would make your Chevelle scream. :deal:

Fix the choke or tune it up and keep it. I am swapping all my trucks to bbcs.

Thanks 80, I'll head that direction for now. I just have to crank and keep pumping the gas peddle and it will cough and run a little and then die, but after a bit it finally runs, friend at work asked about bad fuel. Never had BB don't know how they are suppose to act.

Thanks

My 11-1 comp ratio 429 is like that. Takes about 5 minutes to get it to stay running, and fast idle. Course, I am only running a 600 Holley, so its not exactly getting the fuel supply it needs.:doah:
