keeping headlights and grill on frontend taper

Unless you want to taper it 1" each side, you will have to lose your headlights and mount them somewhere else. Some guys have put there lights on there bumper, or in custom mounts on the hood. Where ever.

steve is forgeting about Sandmans K5. matt tapered his like 9"-10" per corner and he still runs normal headlights and a narrower grill.

yeah, but they're not in stock position. Maybe I mis-read what this guy said.
But if your asking if you can re-use the stock headlights, in a different place, yes. in the stock place, no.
Sorry for the confusion /forums/images/graemlins/doah.gif

his are still on the stock location on the core support IIRC. just all the area between them has been narrowerd and opened up for airflow.

I managed to retain the factory headlights in the factory core support as well. Just cut a chunk out of the center. Like so.

You mean like this?:

I cut the headlight buckets out and then cut off the metal I didnt want. I then bolted the headlight buckets back on to the core support.

Its something that you figure out as you go. There isnt like a measure and cut there type of thing. I lost 9.5" off of each corner and I didnt see a way to go narrower and keep the stock heater setup. My fan moter hits the inside of my skinned out fender.

Matt what is your outside measurement from fender corner to fender corner on the front.

opps sorry, ignore me then /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif /forums/images/graemlins/doah.gif

Measured from the outside of the grill end to end is 52". I measured it there as the fender itself is difficult cause of the rounded edge.
