Gonna start tearing apart my rig for the next rig.

Parts may sit for 2 years so what do you guys use to keep parts good?

For example I just rebuilt the Trans and would like to use it again in the next build. Should i do anything to keep the bands and clutches good during storage?

keep them in a controlled environment...free from cold, moisture and humidity.
I believe those clutches will hold their oil for a couple years that way! Stick some desicant to absorb moisture in a huge thick plastic bag, and seal it up tight.

A heated shop may be worst case if it heats and cools often. Assuming the wife will shoot down the tranny coffee table idea, maybe the basement will work? I like the plastic bag idea.

Yah I guess I could stick it in the basement. I do have huge packets of desiccant.
