I have noticed lately that when I turn the key to start my vehicle, it seems to turn easier and easier as if the spring back action has gotten weak. well this afternoon it started fine but later when I shut it off then when in for an app, then when I came out to start it to go home nothing would happen. I would turn it and no sound or click or anything. the guages all moved as if I was cranking it but it wouldnt start. I tried it 4 times, then finally it started. I drove home , shut it off then started it 3 more times all was well.

I am thinking with the weakness in turning the key and springing back were looking at a ignition switch goin bad , Whatcha all think ?

I had a smiliar problem, I replaced the ket cylinder, but it turns out there was a plastic gear behind the cylinder were some teeth had cracked, not long after that the teeth broke and would not start with the key.

Possible, but unlikely, since it clicks thru all positions till it gets to the last position where its suppose to spring back and thats where its real weak.
