On a TH350 is there a gasket on the Kickdown cable?? I've got a trans leak that I haven't been able to stop. As far as I can tell its not the Pan gasket. I just put on a new rubber one last night and its still leaking comming from the kickdown corner of the trans. The cable is tight in trans. The transmission leaks down over about a month and then the truck won't move. It leaks more when its not running then when it is. Also I see no signs of oil comming from cooling lines. I definatly looks as though it is comming from that side of the trans though... I also replaced the dipstick tube rubber thing.

Your thoughts???

IIRC there is an o-ring on it. I believe it takes a 3/8" wrench to pop it loose, then you have to fight it to get it at the right angle to get it off. It's in there with one of those weird connections. It's a rod bent in a z that goes into a hole. I don't know what it's called. Anyhow, don't loose the piece it attaches to in the tranny. It's a pain to fish back out.

Had the same problem with mine. My problem was the plastic at the bottom where the screw goes in was warped from me overtighting (also stripped the bolt hole on the aluminum case).

Did you have the leak problem with this??

Yea, since it was warped it didn't seal properly, it took me a while to figure out it was leaking from there, replaced it with a new kickdown cable, it fixed my problem. R
emove it and see if its warped if it is just replace it.
