I bought a q-jet carb for my 82 jimmy but it doesn't have the linkage thing to connect the kickdown cable from my 700r4. It has the hole on the linkage where the connector might go. Is there somewhere I can buy that little connector? The one on my old carb looks like it's pressed in so that won't work. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

That 700R4 TV Cable is much more than a kickdown cable, and proper adjustment is critical to the life of the 700R4:

You could contact the place you bought the Q-jet from and tell them you need a 700R4 TV cable bracket for your carb.

A small bolt the right length to clear all the linkage around it , with 2 washers , and a locknut with the plastic at the end . Leave it a little loose so it doesn't bind .
Won't make taking it off as easy as stock though .
