I have adjusted the carb 3 times all ready my fuel pressure is set at 5.5PSI and I'm still fouling plugs...........It will run like a million bucks for about 2 weeks then the carb will stat loading up with gas and fouling my plugs.....Here I come Holley.
stupid eldelbrock.

I just got off the phone with a tech guy over at Edelbrock. He told me to do the same thing that I have been doing over again. I'll most likly do it just so I can drive it while I wait for my holly carb to get here.......I's so stick of Edelbrock.

Yip. I have a Street avenger on my K5. Been on there for 3 years. never any issues.

Could be your float, sometimes they'll stick then dump a $hit load of fuel at once. Look and see if you have anything causing the float to bind, or stick. Sometimes a good cleaning, removing any "varnish" type stuff will help. I don't know how old your carb is, but I had an issue very similar on my 70 Bronco I had, I pulled the float and cleaned it with a scotch brite pad,(not roughly), worked great after that.

I'm having the same issues with my Q-Jet. I've had 3 shops tune it and it still runs like crap. I'm going to buy 3 Q-Jet's from a local guy today, hopefully one of them is tuneable and I can get one to work better on my truck.

I yanked it apart 3 times allready....I checked my needle and seats. cleaned everything up.....This is a 5 month old carb. I have gone through 7 1406 carbs in the past year and 3 months with the same problem. Granted my fuel pressure was a little high but now it's fine. 5.5PSI.

I couldn't ask for a better carb when i had my edelbrock before on my Blazer. After a venture in the mud it was pretty much done so i just had an old q-jet laying around on a motor i bought. I'll never get rid of this carb. By far the best one i've ever had. I'm still getting 12-13 mpg on my newest truck with it :D

I cant wait to get rid of my 1406! I am also goin diesel so i can get better mileage. Mine is a really tired 350 and it runs like such crap that I am getting about 5-6mpg. SCREW edelbrock carbs on trucks!
